User Research in Spain

User Research in Spain

Remote or lab-based user research in Spain, with real customers and local, Senior UX Researchers

Spain is an important European market. For companies thinking about organizing UX research or user research with their clients, it is a relatively straightforward option. Finding experienced and qualified UX Researchers can be challenging as user research is a little immature. That is where UX24/7 comes in.

We are a global design research agency that operates with our own team of Senior UX Researchers. All our Senior UX Researchers have been evaluated as part of their joining process to ensure they have the skills, capabilities and experience to deliver user research and UX Research to the high standards we expect. Our Spanish team consists of experienced and senior UX Research Consultants, based in market.

Remote and lab-based user research in Spain

We run user research and UX Research in Spain using remote and lab-based facilities. Remote methodologies use online screen sharing technologies and in Spain we use Zoom, which is very popular and widely used. We have organized and delivered numerous projects in Spain and internet broadband speeds are good and people generally arrive on time.

For lab based testing there are multiple options in Spain. The photos below are from a project carried out in Madrid but Barcelona and Valencia are also options. We use facilities in locations that our clients want the research to take place in. We have various advanced testing kits that work in the various different facility set ups we utilize.

In all case we provide a viewing experience that includes picture-in-picture video and where required, simultaneous translation into whatever your native language is. Recordings of the sessions are also provided with your local language as well as with the Spanish original.

Finally, our Senior UX Researchers provide a detailed analysis from the session. Our deliverables include observations and issues together with analysis and actionable recommendations. Our team also speak English so we are able to deliver a playback session with you either in Spanish or English.

So, what are you waiting for? If you want to conduct user research in Spain, we can help.

I worked with UX24/7 across a multitude of markets around Europe for UX projects while working at Samsung. UX24/7 provided deep and meaningful insights which we could work with at a European, HQ & market level work to improve the customer experience online and more importantly improve sales.

UX Research and User Research in Spain

Communication tends to be formal and Spaniards are often averse to admitting error. Confrontation is advised against. We have found that there is a tendency to avoid criticism so moderators should be careful about how to generate evaluative feedback.

The majority of user research projects in Spain are undertaken for the non-Spanish speaking market. Hence labs are designed for simultaneous translation, with both the original and translated voice tracks being recorded at the same time. Spanish is spoken by about 75% of the population with the balance speaking Catalan, Galician and Basque.

The predominant religion is Catholicism, with a variety of holidays and festivals. These are largely regional, but national celebrations include Easter and Christmas.
